Thoughts Expressed from my Retirement Nest!

I wonder if I’ll live long enough,

to see all that I want to see.

I wonder, will I  have the time,

to BE all I had hoped I’d be?

There are so many places I’d like to go,

so many things I would like to do.

There are facets of life I want to know,

I want to share them all with you.

There’s so many books I want to read.

There are many stories I would like to write.

There are many pictures I would like to take,

There are so many stars to count at night!

I want to learn to sculpt some clay,

I want to design a pretty dress.

I want to to sail on a  moonlit bay.

I want to see deep love expressed.

I want to run in a marathon,

I want to swim the English channel.

I want to climb up on the mountain tops.

I want to carve an intricate panel.

I want to travel to foreign lands.

I’d like to meet a famous King.

I want to ride a camel on desert sands.

I’d like to feel an angels wing.

Why do we not realize how brief it is,

(this life),  before it’s too late?

We need to put action to our plans,

long before  our expiration date!

There’s so much to do, so much to see,

as we speed towards our old age!!!!!

We will do what we can ’til we can’t anymore,

GRATEFUL for  every stage!
