I’ll embrace my age, for it’s just a page,

a chapter in my life’s book.

I laughed real hearty at my birthday party.

I’m grateful for all the years it took.

I’ll shed no tears over adding years,

no matter how many years go by.

While others feel cold about getting old

I’ll be grateful that I haven’t died.
