Oh my!  what in the world would I do without my granddaughters?  

They make me chuckle..

They make me giggle. 

They make me laugh ’til

my body starts to jiggle.

Do you remember when you were a young girl and something struck you and your friend as funny and then you started to giggle?  The more one of us would giggle the other would giggle as well.  It would accelerate to the point where we would lay gasping and completely spent.  In our youth we gave in with such an abandon to our emotions and it felt so very good! I remember one time my Grandpa shaking his head at us and calling us a couple of gigglepusses… (laughing cats, perhaps?)

This has been how this Grandma and her young Granddaughters have been on this most recent visit to the north country.  Every time we sit down to play cards, we end up in gigglefits!!!  It feels SO good to laugh because when I am  in the presence of youth, my spirit responds immediately, and then suddenly, I am young again too. All of our spirits are ageless, and as a result, our inner child responds quickly to the sound of mirth in the air.  Mirth creates a rebirth in all of us.

We have now played about 25 games of cards since arriving here and each game gets funnier than the last.  Grandpa plays too and he is as bad as the girls.  He is one of the girls these days because he doesn’t want to miss out!

We only have two grandchildren, but I have to say, they are the absolute cream of the crop when it comes to Grands. They made me Grand the day they were born!  GRANDmother!

   Ages 9 and 12 are the perfect age to have a gigglefest.  

I want to freeze this time and place and hold this moment forever.
